 Book Garden is the retail homs of Bear State Books. It is also the primary retail source for the books of authors  Frank F. Latta,  Ron Hughart, Chris Brewer and Bob Powers. Book Garden serves the southern San Joaquin Valley and the  Tulare County area. The store is located in Exeter, California.  

Exeter is well known for its wonderful murals. It is also known for its specialty stores and restaurants. The community's Courthouse Gallery is open on the weekends and is adjacent to the new museum, slated for opening later in 2008.

Historic Exeter is well worth  visiting, if only for experiencing a tranquil community.

The cities of Visalia,  Tulare, Porterville, and Hanford are located under an hour away from Exeter.  The cities of Bakersfield and Fresno are both and hour away.

Sequoia National Park is less than an hour east of Exeter.
